New Grants
IQ recently received $11,000 from the NSW Department of Lands for storage sheds and two camping platforms for our sustainable living eco-expo.

We also received $20,000 through Ballina Employment and Training Centre to establish our community organic garden.

Community Organic Garden
With help from Dan Hamilton and the BETC crew, IQ is transforming the eastern side of the IQ Reserve into a community organic garden, with communal food trees and herbs and organic market gardens.

IQ SCENE
The IQ SCENE (Sustainable Community Employment Network Enterprise) is growing with a great crew of volunteers involved in a range of exciting activities at Island Quarry.

With huge thanks to our current volunteers, our organic community garden is ready for planting, our office is wired for IT and our workshed is (almost) set up for the next round of creative building projects. In the next few months we will be offering workshops in composting toilet construction and flowform installation, as well as a range of building and recycling projects to improve IQ's community facilities.

There's so much happening that we need more help to make the Island Quarry Arts and Eco Park an excellent community resource for everyone.

Come and be part of the SCENE @ IQ.
